Dr. Eric Wechsler founded Southern California Kidney Associates in 2008 and has spent more than 20 years managing complex, high-risk chronic disease. He has been twice elected by the medical staff at Hoag Hospital to serve as Chair of the Division of Nephrology, where he is also Chief of Dialysis Services.
His clinical expertise spans cardiorenal syndrome, hepatorenal syndrome, nephrotic syndrome, glomerulonephritis, and kidney and multi-organ transplant — with a consistent focus on slowing disease progression and keeping patients out of the hospital. He integrates preventive and functional medicine with advanced nephrology.
He built PreserveHealth because the medicine he wanted to practice — unhurried, proactive, genuinely accessible — had stopped being possible inside a fifteen-minute visit.
