Membership is not tied to a waiting room. Members throughout California receive the full scope of care by secure video — extended consultations, direct access to Dr. Wechsler, review of labs and imaging, and coordination with the rest of your medical team — whether you're in Newport Beach, San Francisco, or on the road.
When an in-person examination is warranted, we'll tell you. Otherwise, your nephrologist is wherever you are.
Who This Is For
Telehealth membership is designed for patients who need subspecialty nephrology care but cannot access it locally — and for those whose schedules, travel, or geography make in-person visits impractical.
Executives and frequent travelers
Patients who move between cities or spend extended time away from Southern California can maintain continuity of care without interruption — the same physician, the same clinical relationship, regardless of where they are.
Patients outside Orange County
Board-certified subspecialty nephrology is not uniformly available across California. Patients in the Bay Area, Central Valley, or other regions without access to a concierge nephrologist can receive the same level of care as our Newport Beach members.
Second opinions and complex case review
Patients navigating a new diagnosis, a treatment decision, or a disagreement between specialists can request a formal second opinion — a structured review of records, labs, and imaging with a written clinical summary.
What a Visit Includes
- Extended consultation time — not a fifteen-minute slot
- Review of current labs, imaging, and specialist notes
- Direct communication with Dr. Wechsler — not a portal or nurse line
- Coordination with your existing care team and specialists
- A clear clinical plan, documented and communicated
When In-Person Is Required
Some conditions require physical examination, on-site procedures, or in-person diagnostic workup. We will always tell you when that is the case — and help coordinate the appropriate setting. Telehealth is not a workaround; it is the right modality for the majority of what complex nephrology care requires.
